The evening of July 25, the international water lily water features Horticultural Society 2011 First International Symposium lotus water lily varieties exhibition in Qingdao, china held a grand award ceremony, the exhibition of outstanding water lily, lotus flowers species presented award certificates.
The awards program by cold water lily, tropical water lily and lotus separate awards in three categories, each category with a Platinum Award, Gold 2, Silver 3, Award of Excellence 4. Hardy water lily varieties ‘miracle’, tropical water lily varieties ‘Blue Sword’, lotus species ‘Hongyan Yan’ won the Platinum Award.
In the awards show, in recognition of the chinese water lily expert Huang Guozhen outstanding research contributions to the International Horticultural Society announced that the water lily water features, Huang Guozhen crowned “World water lily Hall of Fame”, which is the highest honor of international water lilies. Since the water lily breeding research carried out since the world was selected “World water lily Hall of Fame,” the researchers only a dozen water lilies, Huang Guozhen is the only surviving of the “world famous water lilies.”
